The company promotes wines by small case producers from California, Oregon, Washington and other regions of the world - wines never before seen in the Seattle area. While working in the natural cork industry, Cascade Trade co-founder Lars Sorensen developed strong relationships with hundreds of winemakers. He discovered that many of the winemakers were constantly searching for a dedicated distributor who would put as much passion and effort into marketing and selling their wines, as they did in crafting them. It was obvious the smaller wineries were looking for someone who shared their vision and someone who had a close ear to the Seattle market.

The time seemed right for a service-oriented distributor to help the smaller, high quality producers -- not only because they made great wine, but also because they were great people who represented the cornerstone on which the entire wine industry was built. The rest, as they say, is history.
